Lex Bouter

Lex BouterLex Bouter is professor of Methodology and Integrity in Amsterdam. Before that he held a chair in Epidemiology and was rector of his university.  He served on many boards and committees and was vice-chair and methodologist of the Dutch Central Committee on Research involving Human Subjects. Lex Bouter is currently involved in teaching and research regarding responsible conduct of research, questionable research practices and research misconduct. Lex Bouter authored about 700 publications contained in Web of Science, which have been cited more than 42,000 times. He has supervised 74 PhD students, of whom to date 14 were appointed as professor.

Tony Mayer

tonymayerTony Mayer is an earth scientist. He conducted research at Leicester University and University College, London before pursuing a career in research management at the UK Natural Environment Research Council. He is currently the Europe Representative and Research Integrity Officer at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore and is also the Treasurer and Governing Board member of EuroScience. He was previously the Director of the COST Office in Brussels and Head of Strategy at the European Science Foundation, Strasbourg. He was the co-chair and co-organiser of the First (Lisbon) and Second (Singapore) World Conferences on Research Integrity.

 

 

Nick Steneck

N Steneck 1Nicholas H. Steneck is a Professor Emeritus of History of Science, University of Michigan.  His historical publications range from discussions of medieval science (Science and Creation) to modern policy disputes (The Microwave Debate). From 1991 to 1993, he chaired the Public Health Service Advisory Committee on Research Integrity.  He co-organized and co-chaired the first and second World Conferences on Research Integrity (Portugal 2007, Singapore, 2010) and is co-chairing the fifth World Conference (Amsterdam, 2017).  He was instrumental in the development of the Singapore Statement on Research Integrity.  In 2012, he began working as an author and advisor for the international, online education company, Epigeum (owned by Oxford University Press).
